The Saskatoon
Cabin - Plans by TechArt

How big does your
country home have to be? You'll save a fortune in construction,
maintenance and energy cost by building it as small as possible.
For a single person,
a couple looking for an carefree getaway home or for a family
that's used to camping, the tiny Saskatoon Cabin might be just
right. It's a one-room cabin with a kitchen el and a half bath.
You can hook up a camper-style shower in that same bathroom or
go with an outdoor shower.
There's a ladder to
a big loft for storage or sleeping space. A 6'x16' porch spans
the whole front of the cabin for outdoor living space.
The photo above
shows a customized version of the design. It was built on posts
to fit it into its hillside site. The original plans show a
crawl-space foundation.
The plan set that
you can order includes 1/4" scale footing plans, 1/4" floor plan
with electric notes, 1/4" exterior elevations and a scaled
building or wall section.
The Saskatoon Cabin is
one of many small country home plans presented on the Backroad
Home and Outbuilding Plans web site.
